#WeAreWatching is a monumental flag, showing an eye made up of thousands of portraits contributed from around the world. It flies on a crane the height of a 10-storey building to hold leaders accountable as they decide the future of our planet. Its message is crystal-clear: The world is watching!
Dan Acher's globally participative installation has been presented in Madrid (COP25), Geneva, London, Edinburgh, and several other UK cities on its way to Glasgow's COP26. It has also flown with Greenpeace for the Global Plastics Treaty campaign in Busan, South Korea for UNEP’s fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-5). The flag continues its journey around the globe, keeping the eyes of the world firmly on decision-makers.
Students, workers, farmers, elders and children the world over are demanding urgent climate action. Take a closer look at the faces on the flag and their messages: together we can hold leaders accountable.
